Own vehicle of a hospitality employee


If your employee delivers goods using his or her own vehicle being, a car, moped, scooter or electric bicycle that goes faster than 25 kilometers per hour, his or her insurance probably does not provide coverage for this. Business liability insurance also does not provide coverage for damage to or with an employee's own vehicle.

 


Mopeds, scooters and electric bikes going faster than 25 mph


Mopeds, scooters and electric bikes are increasingly being used for delivery. Due to a large number of claims in recent years, many insurers are no longer willing to insure these vehicles. You have to expect hefty premiums. Should you still want to deliver using these types of vehicles, we would be happy to help you explore the possibilities.

 

Accident during working hours 


Your employee may be injured during working hours. This does not automatically mean that you are liable for this as an employer. If you are indeed not liable, then the damage is also not insured on your business liability insurance. If you are liable, then in the event of an accident with a motor vehicle, the company liability insurance does not provide coverage and you, as the employer, will have to pay the costs.
