Premium Payment
Frequently asked questions about premium payment
How long do I have to pay my premium?
After you receive our invoice, you have 30 days to pay it.
Don't pay on time? Then we will send you a reminder asking you to pay the premium within 14 days. If payment is still not made, you will receive a reminder with a payment term of 6 days.
What happens if I don't pay (on time)?
If you don't pay on time or in full, there will be consequences:
- After 14 days after the reminder, coverage will expire.
- You cannot then derive any rights from the insurance and any damages will be at your own expense.
- Coverage will not be restored until we receive the full premium.
Does payment remain outstanding? Then your insurance can be terminated. You must report this when you take out new insurance. This can cause problems or even mean an insurer won't give you a new policy.
After the reminder, collection proceedings may be initiated. The costs of this will be for your account. Our collection partner will inform you about this.
What can I do if I have payment problems?
Can I make a payment arrangement Yes, you can. Can't you pay the premium in one go?
If so, please contact us. Together we will discuss: the terms of the arrangement, the agreed upon deadlines and collection times, where to go for questions.
Please note that a payment arrangement applies only to the premiums for which it has been agreed. It does not automatically include other outstanding premiums unless we also agree an arrangement for them.
Are there other options?
Where can I go for debt assistance?Are you a private person and have (impending) financial problems?
Then you can:
seek advice from a debt counselor;
- Contact the municipality where you live (they are responsible for debt assistance);
- find information from the Debt Relief and Social Banking Association at www.nvvk.eu.
Please note that you are responsible for requesting help or initiating follow-up steps.
