Why accident and workers' compensation insurance?

As an employer, your responsibility for your employees continues to grow. Legislation requires you to conduct yourself as a "good employer," which means that you must not only ensure the safety of your employees, but also provide adequate facilities and insurance.
This is crucial to cover financial consequences of accidents, even if you have no control over the circumstances, such as during traffic. It is therefore wise to have insurance for this purpose, and your employees will greatly appreciate it. As an employer, you are obligated to take care of your employees. This means you have to make sure you have the right insurance and provisions.
The most common "good employment insurance" policies for realtors, appraisers and building inspectors are:
- Accident Insurance
- Workers' Compensation Insurance
- WIA top-up insurance
- WGA gap insurance
          Employee protection insurance

Accident Insurance
The benefits of accident insurance are significant: you have world and 24-hour coverage, so employees are protected at all times. Moreover, the director-major shareholder can be co-insured at a competitive rate. This insurance is a valuable fringe benefit that costs you relatively little as an employer, with optional dental coverage up to €5,000.
Workers' Compensation Insurance
Workers' compensation insurance has some important differences from accident insurance. While accident insurance usually only pays out in the event of permanent disability or death, workers' compensation insurance also provides benefits in the event of temporary disability. This makes workers' compensation insurance a broader protection for your employees, despite the fact that the premium for accident insurance is usually lower. It is also possible to co-insure the director-major shareholder on accident insurance.
