Anw gap insurance
If you die before your state pension age, under certain conditions your partner is eligible for a benefit from the government; the ANW benefit
Anw gap insurance for death before state pension age
As an employee of CED, you are insured for a survivor's pension. If you die unexpectedly before reaching retirement age, your partner will immediately receive a lifelong and annually payable partner's pension. Your minor and/or student children will then receive an annual orphan's pension. The amount of these pensions depends on your years of service and salary.
Good to know
What is the ANW gap pension?
The ANW gap pension is a supplementary insurance with which you increase the partner's pension with an annual payment equal to the statutory ANW benefit. This is especially important if your partner is not entitled to ANW benefit from the government upon your death, for example, because you have no children under 18 or your partner has an income of his or her own.
How do I pay the premium?
The premium is deducted from your gross salary, so you pay less net. You can view the exact premium through your personal pension portal.
Why is this insurance important?
Not everyone is eligible for a statutory ANW benefit. This insurance prevents your partner from being left without financial support.
How do I take out this insurance?
You communicate your choice via your personal pension portal and inform CED's HR department.
Can I join later?
Yes, you can. However, keep in mind that you may then have to fill out a health certificate.
What happens to this insurance if my employment ends?
When you leave employment, the death cover lapses, so your partner will no longer receive benefits. If you receive unemployment benefits after your employment, the survivor pension will remain in place as long as you receive these benefits.
What does participation in the ANW gap pension cost?
You can find your personal premium in your pension portal. Would you like to receive an offer or more information? Enter your details on the site and you will be contacted soon.
