Improve your skills in dealing with absenteeism support and prevention
Absenteeism is one of the biggest challenges facing many organizations today. High absenteeism rates, increasing mental health-related absenteeism, and rising costs are putting HR under increasing pressure. At the same time, a significant part of the solution lies with managers—and they are the ones who need help.
With InRegie, you can make the managers within your organization stronger, more confident, and more effective in absenteeism management and prevention.
InRegie, the online learning environment for managers:
How InRegie works
InRegie helps managers prevent absenteeism and provide better support step by step—from the first signs to sustainable reintegration. Curious about how it works? Read the frequently asked questions here.
How does InRegie ensure that managers have the right knowledge and skills?
InRegie is built around practical situations that managers actually encounter. The learning environment goes beyond simply keeping up with laws and regulations and focuses primarily on the knowledge and skills that are needed in practice today.
For example, explicit attention is paid to current topics such as:
-
psychological absenteeism and mental health issues, which require a different approach to communication and support than physical absenteeism
-
having difficult conversations about work pressure, stress, and resilience
-
early detection of dropouts and taking the right action at that moment
-
balancing people-oriented actions and legal obligations
The modules relate to recognizable situations, with concrete examples and courses of action that managers can immediately apply in their own practice. Laws and regulations always form the correct basis for this.
What if legislation or practice changes?
InRegie grows along with practice.
- Legislation and regulations are kept up to date
- New modules are added annually.
- Themes are linked to developments such as mental health-related absenteeism and changing labor relations.
Be better prepared for the absenteeism issues of today and tomorrow—with knowledge and skills that work in practice.
How much time does InRegie take up for managers?
InRegie consists of 10 micro-modules lasting 10 to 15 minutes. Managers can follow the modules at a time and place that suits them best.
A new module becomes available every two weeks. After 20 weeks, the entire basic course is completed. All modules remain available after that, so that they can always return to a specific topic when a concrete absence situation arises. In addition, a practical reference work is available for almost every module. This allows managers to see at a glance what should and should not be done at that moment.
Be better prepared without investing a lot of time.
Is InRegie suitable for different job levels?
Yes. InRegie is accessible, clear, and practical, making it suitable for managers at all levels.
The learning environment:
- is easy to use
- aligns with diverse experience and knowledge
- complies with WCAG requirements
Every manager can improve—regardless of experience.

- with multiple managers
- who want to get a handle on absenteeism
- who want to relieve HR
- who invest in sustainable employability
Whether you are medium-sized or large: InRegie scales easily.
Get better, regardless of the size of your organization.
Is InRegie customized or standard?
The content of InRegie is standardized, ensuring that current laws and regulations are always guaranteed.
Important: InRegie does not interfere with existing business processes, but rather ties in with them. In addition, new modules are added annually that respond to current developments and changing issues within absenteeism and employability.

Mental health-related absenteeism is becoming one of the biggest business risks
Mental health-related absenteeism is becoming one of the biggest business risks for employers "Mental health-related absenteeism is rapidly becoming one of the biggest business risks for employers," says Marleen Souverein, Absenteeism Prevention Consultant at Schouten Zekerheid. Whereas a broken leg is visible and usually recovers predictably, mental overload can lead to months of absence.
Reduce direct absenteeism costs with the HR Risk Analysis
With the introduction of the HR Risk Analysis, Schouten Zekerheid offers companies a practical method to identify and address challenges around absenteeism. Senior consultant André Hackmann and sustainable employability consultant Brenda van Dijk explain how this new service works. "We want to connect and solve," says Hackmann.
Entrepreneurs, take control of your sick leave!
Staff are your most valuable business asset, especially in these times of labor shortages. Without colleagues, you cannot serve your customers, whether private individuals or businesses. When staff are absent due to illness, it can often be a considerable challenge to keep the business running smoothly.
What does a sick employee cost?
As an employer, you always run the risk of an employee falling ill. Besides being very unpleasant for your employee, it can also have a significant (financial) impact on your company. Work that comes to a standstill, possible replacement and administration: it's all part of it. Being financially well-prepared can save you a lot of costs and worries.
